The Spanish economy is experiencing strong growth, with positive performances seen in both the real estate and social economy sectors. The real estate market is projected to hit near €10 billion investment value by the end of 2024, exceeding initial estimates of €8 billion according to global real estate services firm Cushman & Wakefield. Meanwhile, the Confederation of Spanish Businesses of the Social Economy (CEPES) reports the creation of 406,223 jobs and a combined turnover of €72.355 billion in the 2023-2024 period. Reflecting this positive performance, the General Council of Economists has revised its GDP forecast, predicting a growth of 3% in 2024, even amidst severe weather impacts. Public debt, however, is expected to rise to 105.1% by end of 2024, surpassing the government’s 102.5% commitment.
