The Spanish economy is in a strong position, with visible growth, according to Minister of Economy, Commerce and Enterprise, Carlos Cuerpo. The real estate market, in particular, is projected to outperform initial predictions, with total investments predicted to near €10 billion by the end of 2024, which surpasses the initial forecast of €8 billion, as per Cushman & Wakefield. Social Economy companies are proving to be robust contributors to this growth, having created over 406,000 jobs and generated revenues of €72.35 billion between 2023-2024, according to the Spanish Business Confederation of the Social Economy (CEPES). The General Council of Economists has slightly raised the country’s GDP growth forecast to 3% in 2024. However, debt owed by public administrations is set to be above government commitments at 105.1%. Overall, the economic outlook for Spain remains optimistic.
