Ángel Gavilán, General Director of Economics at the Bank of Spain, warned about the frequent and persistent supply disruptions on economic activity in the future. It was noted that Spain’s foreign sector continues to grow, exceeding tourism with significant growth in sales to other countries in consulting, engineering, and telecommunications. The Spanish Chamber of Commerce has raised its growth forecast for Spain’s GDP in 2024 to 3.1%, significantly higher than previous estimates, and also increased its projection for 2025 to 2.1%. Market activity this week has been influenced by various business results as well as the impacts of the US election results. Despite this, the Federal Reserve made a decision to lower interest rates by 25 basis points.
