Spain’s Minister of Economy, Trade and Enterprise, Carlos Cuerpo, announced that the Council of Ministers will approve a new update of the macroeconomic forecasts on Tuesday. Moreover, the average gross salary in Spain saw a growth of 4.1% in 2022, reaching an annual amount of €26,948. Simultaneously, the gender pay gap has decreased to 8.96%. Within the updated three-year macroeconomic framework presented by Carlos Cuerpo, there’s an upward revision of three tenth of the growth forecast for 2024, increasing from 2.4% to 2.7%. Such changes are expected to be approved following the revision of the GDP published by the National Institute of Statistics. This reflects an overall positive trend in the Spanish market and economy.
