The Bank of Spain has upwardly revised its economic growth forecasts for the upcoming years, predicting a GDP growth rate of 2.8% in 2024, an increase of 0.5% points from previous predictions. This adjustment comes with the anticipation of steady job creation across the forecast horizon. However, there are warnings of an uncertain and worrisome reality due to various open fronts at the international, national, and regional levels. Despite these concerns, the Spanish economy’s outlook seems bolstered by these new forecasts. On the downside, public account deficits are expected to remain above 3% in 2026, with public debt not dropping below 10%. Such fiscal concerns continue to present challenges for future economic stability.
