The Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) forecasts that Spain’s economy will experience growth above the averages of other major European economies and the Eurozone. This growth is primarily driven by a booming tourism sector. The OECD has raised its growth projection for this year by one point, and by two-tenths for the next year, outpacing both the Eurozone and the US. The Spanish GDP is expected to advance at a higher rate than the forecast made in May. However, the report also warned of high regulatory barriers in services. Lastly, the OECD stated that the Spanish inflation rate will be 3% in 2024, higher than the Eurozone average, but should align with the average rate of 2.1% by 2025.
