The Spanish government has mobilized 200 million euros in economic support, with the rest slated to be activated next year. However, energy companies, banks, and businesses express concern over proposed taxes in their sectors, which could potentially negatively impact Spain’s competitiveness. Amid these developments, Spain, like other economies under the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OCDE), posted a modest 0.5% growth rate in its GDP between July and September. The growth, a tenth higher than what was recorded in the second quarter, was revealed by the advanced economies’ think tank. These developments signal a cautious economic outlook for Spain amidst fiscal reforms and potential sector-specific taxes.
