In September, the Spanish market capitalization saw an increase of 12% equivalent to 133.5 billion euros, marking a total worth of 1.261 trillion euros, as per Bolsas y Mercados Españoles statistics. This shows a significant growth in comparison to the same month in 2023. However, a Goldman Sachs report indicates a potential 0.6% impact on Spain’s GDP if a 10% surcharge is imposed on Spanish products due to international trade policies. On another note, Telefonica’s earnings until September were down by 21.7%, at 989 million euros, compared to 1.262 billion euros in the same period of 2023.
