Spain has emerged as the sixth-largest global destination for foreign direct investment projects since 2019, indicating healthy investor confidence in the country’s economy. The Independent Authority for Fiscal Responsibility (AIReF) has raised its GDP growth forecast for Spain to 2.9% for 2024 and improved its 2025 estimate to 2.3%. This upgrade in GDP growth prediction reflects the promising trends in foreign direct investment, coupled with improvements in the overall Spanish economic climate. Economic analyst Christophe Barraud, who accurately predicted the trajectory of the US economy for the past 11 years, has also made encouraging comments regarding Spain, which further bolsters optimism in the Spanish markets.
