The Spanish economy is set for sustained and robust growth, according to the International Monetary Fund (IMF). This is bolstered by the internal consumption growth, resilience of key sectors and, the diversification of its economy. The organization projects a 2.9% growth for Spain in 2024, a forecast backed by the General Council of Economists (CGE), who attribute this to strong Q2 growth, the strength of the external sector and slow albeit growth of private consumption. Furthermore, Spain stands as the 11th country globally and third in Europe in terms of attracting foreign investment, with foreign capital’s weight in Spain being 57.9% in GDP terms, higher than France or Germany.
