The Spanish economy has seen a significant boost in its tourism sector as strategic markets including the United Kingdom, Germany, France, and the United States have increased their tourist expenditure in Spain by over 10% from January to August this year. These statistics were shared by tourism advisors from these countries during the IV Turespaña Convention last week. Despite this favorable improvement, the country’s central bank has shown concern over weak growth in the eurozone, as depicted in the minutes from their September meeting. These gains within the tourism industry could potentially support Spain’s recovery amid an overall sluggish economic environment in the region.
