Spain’s housing market experienced a 3.6% price hike in the second quarter of the year compared to the previous three months, indicating growth in the residential property sector. In other financial news, the Bank of Spain has teamed up with financial service company BBVA in a collaborative effort to develop a joint study on monetary policy and household consumption – signifying a mutual interest in advancing economic research and analysis within the domestic market. Notwithstanding, doubts emerge concerning BBVA’s proposed acquisition of the banking company Banco Sabadell, with its CEO, César González-Bueno, expressing concerns over the operations. The differing events reflect fluctuating conditions within the Spanish economics and market scene.

The Brent opened with virtually no change, at a price of 78.37 dollars per barrel. The gold opened the session with virtually no change, at a price of 2665.4 dollars per ounce. Now, regarding equity, the EURO STOXX 50 started the session with virtually no change, at 4944.32 points. The DAX 30 started the session with virtually no change, in 19066.86 points, the FTSE 100 started the session with virtually no change, at 8278.73 points, and the EURONEXT 100 started the session with virtually no change, at 1480.25 points.
