Spain’s economy is projected to experience significant growth, outpacing other major European economies and even the US, according to the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD). Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez highlighted this positive outlook, stating that Spain is “the motor of Europe.” The OECD has raised Spain’s economic forecast for this year by one point and two-tenths for the upcoming year, positioning it above the Eurozone and the US. Specifically, Spain’s Gross Domestic Product (GDP) growth is anticipated to reach 2.8% in 2024, which is higher than the initial forecast. Furthermore, inflation is expected to stabilize around 3% in 2024, above the Eurozone average, but is projected to converge with the average at 2.1% in 2025.

The Brent reached mid-day with losses of (-0.18 %), going down to 74.07 dollars per barrel. The gold until mid-day has had an increase of 0.1 %, quoting at 2680.4 dollars per ounce. Now, regarding equity, the EURO STOXX 50 has gained 0.32 % until mid-day, reaching 4921.16 points. The DAX 30, with a 0.31 % gained until mid-day, is reaching 18904.88 points, the FTSE 100 has been going up 0.59 % until mid-day, reaching 8298.68 points, and the EURONEXT 100 has been gaining 0.27 % until mid-day, reaching 1483.65 points.

Throughout the day the following indicators indicators for Europe have been published: the Producer price index (YoY) of Spain in August (-1.3%). In addition, during the day the following indicators will be published: the Consumer Confidence of France in September.
